The On Board Computer (OBC) refers to the processing unit in the satellite that is responsible for implementing the vital functions of the satellite which include attitude and orbit control in both nominal and non-nominal cases, tele-commands execution or dispatching, housekeeping, telemetry gathering and formatting, on board time synchronization and distribution, failure detection, isolation and recovery, etc. The failure of the on board computer results in failure of the entire satellite. Therefore, it is very important that it is secured through robust protection.
The OBC will be built around the state of the art technologies and it will interface with TTC (RF), sensors, powers, Nano wheels and payload for command and housekeeping telemetry functions.
